The problem
What needed solving
The challenge: take a travel app from a blank canvas to a polished, branded concept in just ten hours. With no time for lengthy research phases, every step — from sketching to visual identity to screens — had to be fast, decisive, and coherent.
The outcome
What shipped
The sprint produced a complete concept package: screen designs, a branded style guide covering color, type, and logo usage, and a clear visual direction — all designed and documented within the ten-hour window.

Process
So what happened?
Sketch
I started with pen and paper, working through layout ideas and core screens before touching any digital tools. Sketching first let me explore several directions quickly and commit to a structure before the clock became a factor.
Define
I gathered a moodboard of travel photography — mountains, coastlines, cityscapes — to set the tone, then defined the brand: a wordmark, a color palette built on soft blues with a warm accent, typography, and logo variations. This became the style guide that kept every later decision consistent.
Design
With the system in place, I designed the app's screens and components, applying the palette, type scale, and photo direction established in the style guide. Working from a defined system meant the high-fidelity designs came together quickly without sacrificing cohesion.
